The New York Times has an interesting story on the gazillions of dollars major corporations are spending on advertising at the World Cup. Why? The expected TV audience for the final here in Berlin is 300 million, more than three times that of the Super Bowl.
Before I left the US, I remember seeing only one World Cup-related commercial, which was this great one by Gatorade. Have there been many since that one? If the Times piece is right, how many ads you’ve seen is probably a function of how many Hispanics live in your area.
