All I’ve had time to do today is upload some pictures from this past week. Pinar flew back to Turkey this morning and now I’m running off to watch the U.S.-Italy soccer match. Starting tomorrow Monday I’ll be back to writing and posting daily, so stay tuned. In the meantime, check out my new photos.

Hey, I hope all is going well for you in Germany! (it sounds like it is) I was wondering if you will be going to any matches. The US game today was really crazy!!! I can’t believe we were able to tie Italy down a man for almost an entire half. It must be so exciting to be there for the world cup.

Unfortunately I won’t be going to any matches, but I did watch the US play last night. First we tried to find seats at a nearby Italian bar, then thinking better of it, found a bar with mostly Germans who were also cheering for the US (probably just because they don’t want Italy to advance). Anyway, it was an unbelievable game. I’m anxious to see what happens on Thursday.
