After Eszter Hargittai gave me a nice formal welcome to the blogosphere yesterday and also commented on the blogging legacy of 129 Wallace Hall at Princeton (Kieran Healy, Eszter and I have all shared the same office), I thought it was quite a coincidence that I was able to meet up with another former 129′er in Berlin last night. Alyse Muldoon (formerly Hubbard) was in 129 when I first started at Princeton, but through a series of fortunate events, including a storied dragon boat race in China, she met her Aussie husband Dane and moved away to settle Down Under.
I emailed Alyse somewhat randomly last week and she wrote back saying she and Dane were about to swing through Berlin on their 5-month journey around the world. Timing couldn’t have been better, and we managed to meet up last night.
Given the 129 Wallace connection it came as no surprise to learn that–you guessed it–she and Dane have a blog.
