AWOL? MIA?

Whew.  It’s been a long time since I updated this site!  Portland was fun and the conference went well, though flying cross-country and the time change took something out of me.  It was still worth it just to see the Ira Keller fountain in downtown Portland.  I don’t know if I could explain why I liked it so much, but I could’ve spent hours sitting on the steps in front of it.

After coming back to Princeton I focused on applying for dissertation funding.  I applied to the usual suspects for grad students doing international research in the social sciences and humanities, SSRC and Fulbright-Hays, and another one for people studying Turkey, a fellowship from the American Research Institute in Turkey (ARIT).

Fingers are crossed, but announcements are months away.
