Am I the last person to learn that you can get free podcasts of This American Life? How cool is that? And here I’d been trying to find an excuse to listen to the radio in my car from 2-3pm every Sunday.
This week’s broadcast is on relations between Muslims and non-Muslims [MP3], with a particularly touching story about a young Muslim girl and her mother coping with prejudice in America.
The show is also worth checking out if you don’t know which U.S. government building currently houses a statue of Muhammad. Who woulda thunk? (You can learn the answer in the opening minutes of the show.)
New to This American Life? It’s the best radio program on U.S. airwaves. Read more about it on the program’s About page or head directly to Staff Favorites for highlights of the show.

JG– I didn’t know you could get the podcasts, that’s excellent. Will watch the segment when I get a chance and a better connection than this; a timely topic given all the vitriol around Keith Ellison’s election in MI (can you believe that stuff?).
Happy New Year from Rio

Yeah, I’ve read just a bit on Ellison, swearing on the Koran, etc., and it seems like people are really up in arms. Definitely something I’m going to follow this next month…
Happy new year to you, too!
Jim
