Holiday Greetings from California artist Arnold Schwarzenegger

I’m signed up for the Pew Research Center’s email newsletter, which means I get a weekly batch of reports on opinion polls and demographic trends.  That might not sound like a lot of fun, but Pew does have a lighter side.  Today they linked to an online collection of holiday cards sent this year by various state governors.

The reason I checked out the interactive card gallery was because they said that Arnold Schwarzenegger had painted the Christmas tree on the cover of his card.  My expectations were, well, low.  I mean where does it say anything about painting in his Wikipedia entry, and would you ever expect such a thing?

I’ve seen them rippin’ on Arnie’s card over at Wonkette, but I have to say that his is one of the best of the bunch.  My favorite part is the writing on the back that says, “This painting was created by California artist Arnold Schwarzenegger.” After looking at the other cards, I’m willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.
