The application Task List has been getting a lot of press today, and I have to say it looks pretty sweet. Basically, if you’re a student using a Mac and would like an application to manage all your homework (and possibly your notes and goals), Task List is worth checking out. For all its features and really slick interface, it’s hard to believe it’s free.
I downloaded Task List just to take a peek, since I already have a task management system up and, well, hobbling along (kGTD), and I realized pretty quickly that I wouldn’t be using it. First, I’m trying to simplify my workflow, and presently I can get by using just kGTD and DEVONthink Pro to manage all my tasks, notes, reference materials, etc.
Second, I realized that I’m about to enter my first semester at Princeton where I won’t have any classes. No classes, no homework to manage. (I’m sure you could use the program to manage all kinds of tasks, but that’s what I’m using kGTD for).
Overall, it looks like a great app. Wish I’d had this years ago.
