Thanks for your patience, everyone. I’ve been overwhelmed, but very pleased, by how many entries I got in the haiku contest–at last count there were 73! This means that I’m going to have to make a first cut in order for online voting to work at all, I’m afraid. That’ll take me some time, so stay tuned for voting to begin sometime tomorrow.

You could also try a two-tiered voting system. You know, vote first for a smaller pool and then have a final vote from just a small number of options.

And I’ll take more suggestions if anyone has any…
You could also take one haiku from each class. That is, one from social science, one from basic science, one from a dissertation, one general academic…etc.
