I suggested you take a look at David Seah’s blog as part of my how to wake up early roundup, but if you only read the post I linked to, then you’re missing out on a lot. For one thing, David updates us after a two-week trial of waking up early and his reflections are priceless: using your time effectively is all about establishing a routine with “strong structural elements” (just as in graphic design or writing).
David is also a skilled designer with a lot of unique, free tools for the productivity minded. Here’s a sample:
- The Procrastinator’s Clock - A clock that runs up to 15 minutes fast, but you never know for sure. Web, PC, and Mac versions available.
- The Printable CEO Series - A wide range of slick, customizable cards you can print out for goal-tracking, task management, and more. StyleyGeek speaks highly of them in her excellent 2006 productivity hot-or-not guide.
- The Compact Calendar for 2007 - Exactly like it sounds, but really cool looking. Localized versions for almost 20 different countries.
That’s just a glimpse of his great work, so it’s well worth exploring the site.
