50 tips and tools to improve your writing

Lifehack.org has reposted their most popular article of all time, a collection of links to 50 Writing Tools by Roy Peter Clark of the Poynter Institute.  The ones I’ve read have been very good — definitely worth a look.

These tips also make a great companion to William Zinsser’s book, On Writing Well, which I’m reading now for the first time.  Why did it take me so long to discover this book?  Hands down the best advice on writing I’ve ever seen.  If you’re a student, or writing is a big part of what you do, you should get this book.
