This website tracks the research, travels, and productivity breakthroughs of a sociology grad student at Princeton University.
I’m currently doing research for my dissertation on Islamic sermons in Turkey. My project will take me to various sites around Turkey, where I’ve lived a total of four years, but for the moment I’m bunkered down with my wife in Istanbul. I’m originally from Coralville, Iowa.
This site offers regular updates on my progress as well as posts on time management and personal development strategies that I think students, academics, and just about anyone could find useful.
Why would you come here?
- You funded my project and would like to know how I’m spending your money.
- We’re related/friends and you’re curious about what I’m up to.
- You’re a student slogging your way through school in need of encouragement, distraction, or some combination thereof.
- You’ve got money on whether a former procrastinator can maintain a website without turning it into a way to avoid his real work.
So, thanks for stopping by. I hope you enjoy!
